Day-by-Day Itinerary

Pickup from Haridwar and drive towards Guptkashi or Phata via the scenic cities of Rishikesh, Devprayag (witness the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi confluence), and Srinagar Garhwal. Enjoy stunning views of the Ganga and Mandakini rivers along the route. Check in to your hotel/resort at Guptkashi or Phata. Overnight stay with hot dinner.
Early morning drive to Sonprayag. Take local shuttle jeeps to Gaurikund (5 km). Begin the 22 km mountain trek to Kedarnath Temple. The trek path is scenic but steep; you can also hire a pony, doli, or choose helicopter rides from Phata/Sersi. Arrive at Kedarnath base, check in to government camps or local guesthouses, and witness the magical evening temple aarti amidst freezing mountain breezes.
Wake up early for VIP temple entry. Touch the sacred Shiva rock lingam and seek blessings. Trek back down Gaurikund, take the local shuttle jeep to Sonprayag, where our private driver will meet you to transport you back to your hotel in Guptkashi/Phata. Rest and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back towards Haridwar. En route, stop in Rishikesh for sightseeing (Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and Triveni Ghat). Drop off at Haridwar Railway Station or your hotel in the evening.

Altitude Health & Registration Guidelines

Trekking in the Himalayas requires physical fitness and adequate preparation. Please review these essential guidelines:

  • Biometric Registration: Mandatory registration on the Uttarakhand Tourism portal is required. JDMK Team provides full assistance to issue passes.
  • Warm Clothing & Raincoats: High mountain weather can change instantly from bright sunshine to heavy rain and snow. Carry heavy woolens, gloves, thermals, and raincoats.
  • Medical Checkup: A physical checkup is highly recommended. Gaurikund checkposts test oxygen levels for senior citizens before granting trek permissions.
